2nd DMA Conservatory Feeding Held By: James U. Sy Jr.

The 2nd DMACC Feeding Program "Share Because We Care" was successfully held by the DMA Conservatory Center headed by couple and proprietors Jezrel L. Geolingo and Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo with the support of the Geolingo family, friends, and sisters of the Sto. Niño Orphanage last April 11, 2010, Sunday, 3:00-5:00 PM, at the Sto. Niño Orphanage, Puentebella Subd., Bacolod City.
The philanthropic civic activity started with a eucharist celebration by Rev. Fr. Anecito Buenafe Jr. The original venue was the Nuestra Señora Chapel but it had to be transferred to the Sto. Niño Orphanage Chapel for a lack of an officiating priest at the first location.
The 27 recipients from the orphanage gave special dance numbers to the sponsors and guests. Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo facilitated a simple program of singing, dancing, and games for the kids. Special prizes were given to the winners. The various sponsors and supporters of the activity helped in the distribution of snakcs to the children.
Raingo del Prado, Jake Benamer, and Debbie Mahinay of the DMA Conservatory Center gave a break dance number for the kids.
Present during the activity were Sr. Eva Ferro, BVMC, Sr. Rodelia Gaspar, BVMC, and Sr. Ma. Gina Talisayan, BVMC.
Sponsors who supported the civic activity include Judge Eliseo Geolingo and Alicia L. Geolingo, Jezrel L. Geolingo and Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo, Carla Geolingo, Archie Ng, Brian Villasor, Verna Lama, Lotlot Cordero, Altea Annuales, and James U. Sy Jr.
The first edition of the activity was held last December 13, 2009 and was participated in by Judge Alieseo and Alicia L. Geolingo, Jezrel L. Geolingo and Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo, Carla Geolingo, Cathrina Dumancas, and Gio Eusibio. 70 indigent children availed of the feeding program.
The DMA Conservatory Center is the brain child of Mary Grace Villasor-Geolingo, a dance instructress and a faculty at the St. Scholastica's Academy (SSA), as an academy for the concentrated study of the various performing and cultural arts for enthusiasts of all agaes. DMA stands for dance, music, and arts.
Currently, courses offered at DMA Conservatory include Classical Ballet (taught by Andrew Peralta), Guitar (taught by Johnne Rizaba), Hip Hop (taught by Debbie Mahinay), Taekwondo and Kickboxing (taught by Master Ricardo P. Filipinas of the Sacred Ki Art of Filipino Foot Fighting), and Voice (taught by Pepito Esgra). Arnis as taught by Master Narciso "Hansy" L. Alojado of Cnceptual Martial Arts Society (MAS), Ic. is currently inactive.
