Ian B. Negrido, 5th Degree Black Belt, Founder/Chief Instructor of Bassdumas (Baston Sipa Sumbag Dumog Martial Arts Society) with the support of Master Romeo G. Banas, 7th Degree Red Belt, Founder of Red Musang Self Defense Combat Sports, Knights of Columbus Council No. 12363 under Grand Knight Nicolas D. Asparen and Deputy Grand Knight Florante H. Magoliño, and Canetwon Barangay Officials successfully held an exposition and belting promotion for 16 students of Bassdumas recently at Canetown Subd., Victorias City.
The demonstrations included forms, sparring, and self defense techniques.
Promoted were Rolin Castillano, Melecio Manuel D. Mentor, Jonie Ramos, and Maribeth Solatario (Black Belt), Christian B. Negrido (Brown Belt), and Herbert Anciano, Noke Anciano, Josemaria O. Belandres, Shuji Mar Nil Caesar R. Cagadas, Danilo Delosantor Jr., Johnmark Gido, Mario Gido Jr., Abigail B. Negrido, Dave Chester Negrido, Rayboy Peloquero, and Christian Sabran (Yellow Belt).
Receiving special awards were Melecio Manuel D. Mentor (Best Fighter and Best in Bladed Weapon Disarming), Maribeth Solatario (Female Best Fighter), and Josemaria O. Belandres, Shuji Mar Nil Caesar R. Cagadas, and Rayboy Peloquero (Little Best Fighters).
Guests were Master Melchor Garcia of Rainbow Martial Arts, Founder/Master James U. Sy Jr. of Conceptual Martial Arts Society (CMAS), Inc., Brgy. Kagawad Henry Laguna, Day Care Teacher Rose Cagadas, and Mrs. Mentor.
