The Universal Defensive Tactics Academy (UDTA) of Founder/Chairman Abraham “Abe” Ganzon Jr. hosted the 2-day International Sport Arnis Officiating Echo Seminar for Referee/Judges last August 7-8, 2010 at the Universal Care Center of Excellence, #83A Cor. Rosario-Locsin Sts., Bacolod City.

Resource Lecturer was Arnis Philippines Bacolod/Negros Occidental Commissioner Danilo “Danny” L. Cardinal. There were a total of thirteen attendees from Bacolod, Bago, Escalante, La Carlota, and Talisay Cities.

Those who attended the seminar were Aisa A. Abug of VILCAT Karate Club (La Carlota City), Romeo Allesa of North Negros Karate Club (Talisay City), Joel C. Casiple of Bacolod Consolidated Sports Management Association (BACSMA), Guilberto C. Dajao of KaliSilat Arnis Association (KAA), Voltaire V. Daypal of Universal Defensive Tactics Academy (UDTA), Renante G. Deferia of KAA, Han Lovie D. Gutieres and Armando C. Gutieres of NNKC (Talisay City), Renante R. Inso of Tribu Hangaway Philippines, Kelvin G. Maratas and Mary Mercy M. Sunido of Escalante National High School, Mery Jean A.Tiauzon of Old Poblacion National High School (Escalante City), and Raffy Yanong of Negros United Fighting Arts Academy (Bago City).

On the first day, GM Cardinal covered drills and hand signals for labanan and on the second day, anyo and hands on officiating. KAA and NUFAA players were made to spar while participants gave the officiating calls.

The seminar was a preparation for the 2nd UDTA Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia Arnis Cup slated for October 2-3, 2010 at the Atrium Area, Gaisano Bacolod Supermall, Araneta St., Bacolod City.
