Nica Arroyo, a junior BS Entrepreneurship student at the Bacolod City College (BCC), was crowned 2017 Lin-ay sang Brgy. Crossing Magallon, besting five other contestants in the beauty pageant organized by Warren Jocson recently in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
Arroyo also won two additional awards, namely Best in Festival Costume and Best in Swimwear. Her make up artists were Julius Brique and Camille Esconde.
Arroyo is a prolific contestant in beauty contests, having joined, placed, and/or won in pageants in different parts of Negros Occidental. Among her titles is 2016 Ms. Palawod sa pag Sinadya, which was bestowed her during a competition organized by Marvin Arguelles last May 25, 2016 in Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City. She also saw action in the Charter Anniversary of Brgy. Pta Taytay last February 8, 2015.
