The Manlambus Festival 1st Wushu Sanda Invitational Competition was successfully held by the Escalante City Government under Hon. Mayor Eddie Montero thru Trainor Jesus “Jess” Flores of the City Sport and Development Office, Founder/Chief Instructor of the Thunder Kick Martial Arts Club (TKMAC), and Department of Education (DepEd) teacher-officials on May 28, 2017 at the Escalante Public Plaza, Escalante City. DEMONSTRATION. Founder/Master James U. Sy Jr. of the Conceptual Martial Arts Society (CMAS), Inc. with the assistance of Rombus Bustillo of ENHS/TKMAC demonstrated minimal-move Conceptual Arnis System armed and empty handed self defense techniques against stick and knife attacks. WUSHU SANSHOU/SANDA COMPETITION. Erica Flores of ISPS-ENHS won over Jeiane Gaviola of ENHS-Regular (42 kg. female). Anazel Broniola of OPNHS won via default (42 kg. female). Angie Ejusa of OPNHS over Mary IC Sinadjan of OPNHS (52 kg. female). Vince Martin Martirizar of ENHS (grade 8) over Rodrigo Ejusa of ECES (grade 8) (45 kg. male).
