Dr. Carmen P. Benares successfully held the seminar “Updating Corporate Social Responsibility Towards Sustainability & Global Competitiveness” last April 21, 2017 at the Cody Conference Rooms A & B, University of St. La Salle (USLS), La Salle Ave., Bacolod City. Speaker Jun C. Montaño, School Director of College of Arts & Science of Asia & the Pacific (CASAP)-Bacolod Campus, lectured on the “Fundamentals of Corporate Governance & Social Responsibility” while Speaker Annabelle A. Alova, Faculty Member, College of Business and Accountancy, University of St. La Salle (USLS) spoke on “Social Responsibility & Social Entrepreneurship.” The remainder of the class took to the podium during the presentation of the different CSR Programs of their respective organizations. Among those organizations represented were Carlos Hilado Memorial State College (CHMSC), John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, PAG-IBIG Fund, and Vallacar Transit, Inc. Presentors were Excelsia Acaha-Parreño, Eddlyn Agraviador, James Berbano, Ann Sayomac Dangallo, Jennifer de la Cruz, Jen Los Baños, Kenneth Purisima Macoy, and Paolo V. Valladarez (also the emcee). Faculty members from CASAP-Bacolod Campus and CHMSC were in attendance.
