Aurora Villanueva, Ph.D., held its Departmental Team Building & Acquaintance Party last June 24, 2017 at the Mambucal Mountain Resort in the Municipality of Murcia. The activity, which was attended by 15 faculty members, 2 Augustinian guest friars, staff, and working scholars, was conducted to develop camaraderie, cooperation, and teamwork among the members of the department. The college recognizes the invaluable contribution of each member to achieve its mission and working as a synchronized unit, the department can achieve its mission more efficiently. The mission of CABECS is “the holistic transformation of Filipino youths into topnotch, ethical professionals, with an entrepreneurial mindset, all ready to face the world with compassionate heart,” with the ultimate vision of becoming “an Augustinian learning center of excellence in Accountancy, Business Education, Computer Studies and Entrepreneurship.” The CABECS mission and vision ultimately mesh perfectly with the mission of CSA-B itself, which is “fulfilling the mission of the Catholic Church by providing a well- rounded formation of the human person with respect to one’s ultimate goal; by developing moral and social values and love for country; and by fostering a community life characterized by ‘oneness of mind and heart on the way to God,’ anchored on the Augustinian motto ‘Virtus et Scientia.’” Games were conducted where faculty participants had to coordinate their efforts with their group members, thereby developing esprit d’ corps and team work. Performing arts numbers were also given by the grouped faculty members.
