Banking & Credit Seminar Held

Former banker and NDB feature writer James U. Sy Jr. with BSBE freshmen students from four sections of the Bacolod City College (BCC) who attended the “Banking & Credit Seminar for Entrepreneurs and Marketers” last April 4, 2016 at the Negosyo Center, Negros Occidental Barangay Center (NOBC) building, Gatuslao St., Bacolod City. A total of 44 BSBE freshmen students from four sections of the Bacolod City College (BCC) attended the free 4-hour “Banking & Credit Seminar for Entrepreneurs and Marketers” last April 4, 2016 at the Negosyo Center, Negros Occidental Barangay Center (NOBC) building, Gatuslao St., Bacolod City. The seminar was conducted by James U. Sy Jr., a former East West Banker and Prime Savings Banker as well as a former Accounts Officer at First Provincial Finance Corporation (FPFC). The seminar covered the definition and history of banking, the Philippine financial system, its structure, and its role in the economy, classification of banks, bank products, all aspects of the credit process, classifications of loans, laws pertaining to financial transactions, and scams and fraud in financial transactions. Sections that attended the seminar include MM 1A, MM 1B, Entrep 1C, and Entrep 1D.
