Taekwondo jins of the San Carlos City Private Schools Association (SCCPSA) brought home a gold and a silver medal during the Division Meet Athletic Taekwondo Competition held last October 22, 2005 at the Gaisano City San Carlos Supermall, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental. The event was organized by the Department of Education.
Timojan Palmares of Colegio de Sto. Tomas-Recoletos won the gold in the featherweight division. Queency Love Layon of Central Negros College took the silver in her category. The SCCPSA Taekwondo Team is handled by Coach Jose Paulo Limpio and Trainor Diomedes N. Mamugay.
Trainor Diomedes N. Mamugay is employed with the Sta. Rita College and is the founder/chief instructor of the San Carlos Jungle Fighters Martial Arts Club (SACA JUFIMAC) and the Centralian Fighters Martial Arts Club (CEFIMAC).
