CMAS now Registered With S.E.C. By: James U. Sy Jr.

The non-profit, non-stock Conceptual Martial Arts Society (CMAS), Inc. was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under SEC Registration No. CN200625885 last March 9, 2006 at the SECIloilo Extension Office, SEC Bldg., Gen. Hughes St., Iloilo City.

The certificate of incorporation was signed and issued by Director Russell I. Ildesa in accordance with the Corporation Code of the Philippines (Batsang Pambansa #68).

The officers and directors of the Conceptual Martial Arts Society moved for the registration of the society during the 1st CMAS Annual Assembly last January 14, 2006 at the Roli’s Restaurant, Check Inn Pension Arcade, Luzuriaga St., Bacolod City. The application for registration was made last January 25, 2006.

Incorporators were Founders James U. Sy Jr. and Narciso “Hansy” l. Alojado, Joeffrey S. Deriada, Lafayette A. Diamante, Francis Stephen A. Diaz, Raymund Antonio A. Maguad, Advisor Master Elmer V. Montoyo (Filipino Tang Soo Do), Moises “Jong-Jong” G. Nifras Jr., John Owen F. Ong, Mary Salve L. Pe, Victorio C. Perez, Christine U. Sy, James Allen U. Sy, Ma. Lorema “Bing” H. Tacsagon, and advisor Headmaster Wilson E. Viñas (Lapu-Lapu Viñas Arnis).

Conceptual Martial Arts Society is a non-profit, non-political brotherhood of professionals binded by their love for the martial arts and by their desire to train in, research, document, preserve, organize, systematize, stimulate interest in, publicize, promote, and propagate the various warrior traditions of Negrense Filipino martial arts (FMA), indigenous and foreign based alike, as well as other Asian and Occidental martial arts in Bacolod, the Negros Island, and if possible, the Philippines and the world. It currently has 8 chapters in Bacolod City, Candoni and Iloilo City and has core group members in Bago City.
