Exactly 2 weeks after the highly successful 1st Bacolod Wushu Sanshou Seminar conducted by WFP National Head Coach Yu Zhi Bo of Beijing China, the Wushu Federation of the Philippines-Negros Occidental was officially founded on July 27, 2003 at the Supermix, Gatuslao St., Bacolod City.
Elected to office were WFP Negros Occidental Coordinator Joery C. Amante Sensei of the Black Falcon Martial Arts Association-Main (president), Joel R. Casiple of Bacolod Consolidated Sports Management Association (vice president), Narciso “Hansy” L. Alojado Sensei of Conceptual Martial Arts Society/USLS Aikido Club (secretary), Engr. Arnulfo Feguroa of Iloilo Tinagan Martial Arts Club Inc. (treasurer), Sherwin G. Nuñesco of BFMAA-Main (auditor), James U. Sy, Jr. Sensei of Conceptual Martial Arts Society/Lapu-Lapu Viñas Arnis Aficionados Association (PIO), and Master Elmer V. Montoyo of the Philippine Integrated Martial Arts Academy-Filipino Tang Soo Do Association (business manager).
